The official launch of Nzovu Rundu Luxury Camp by Shearzone Safaris on 17 July 2026

Speaking during the ceremony, Mr. Caleb Mulenga, Board Chairman of Shearzone Safaris, said: "Nzovu Rundu is more than a luxury safari camp; it is our investment in Zambia's future, creating opportunities for communities while showcasing the very best of our country's natural heritage."

Representing Government, Permanent Secretary Mr. Evans Muhanga commended the investment, noting that the opening reflects growing confidence in Zambia's tourism industry and contributes to economic growth through increased private sector investment.

Her Royal Highness Chieftainess Chiawa welcomed the investment into her chiefdom and emphasized the importance of partnerships that promote conservation, create employment and deliver lasting benefits to local communities.

Designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding wilderness, Nzovu Rundu Luxury Camp offers guests an intimate safari experience with luxury accommodation, exceptional guiding, river-based activities and immersive wildlife encounters in one of Africa's most spectacular landscapes.

FUN FACTS ABOUT NZOVY RUNDU LUXURY CAMP

The name Nzovu Rundu pays homage to the elephants that roam this area, as well as the striking escarpment that forms the lodge’s dramatic backdrop. the magnificent “Papa Rundu” is a regular visitor to camp.
The new camp features 10 chalets, including 8 luxury pods and 2 spacious Rundu Grand Pods for families.
Each Pod boasts its own private plunge pool, air-conditioning, and outdoor shower.
A diverse selection of activities are on offer, including game drives, canoeing on the Nkalange channel and guided walks.
There is a luxury spa and an impressive wine cellar
Shearzone is also proud to operate its private fleet of Cessna aircraft, connecting its camps (and more) seamlessly.
Looking forwards, Shearzone will also be launching Achikunda Luxury Camp in 2027 and Old Njati Luxury Camp in 2028.
