“Nature in the City” event announced during London Climate Action Week
YOU ARE INVITED - The Long Run and LORE Group present an afternoon of hope-inspiring climate conversations with The Datai Pledge, at London’s most beautiful rooftop this Summer Solstice.
The Long Run, in partnership with LORE Group, Bouteco and The Datai Pledge, has announced their upcoming event titled Nature in the City — an afternoon of hope-inspiring climate conversations on the first day of summer, Sunday 21 June 2026, at 12th Knot rooftop bar, Sea Containers House, London’s South Bank.
At the heart of the event is a simple and urgent idea: that in cities, we too easily forget how closely our everyday decisions — what we eat, drink, how we travel and where we stay — connect to the health of the natural world. Through accessible, entertaining conversation spanning food systems, wildlife, climate data and the restorative power of nature, the afternoon aims to inspire 350 guests to act. Not to feel guilty. To act.
The Long Run’s Rosie Stubbs joins Jacqueline Kneebone, Director of Sustainability and Wellness at LORE Group, as co-anchor for the accountability session — bringing The Long Run’s 4Cs framework and decades of conservation expertise into conversation with the hospitality sector’s measurable climate commitments. The event will be compered by Juliet Kinsman, Sustainability Editor at Condé Nast Traveller and Ambassador for The Datai Pledge, who’s “Funny Old World” podcast will record a special episode on the day, sponsored by The Long Run.
“The Long Run exists because we believe nature-based tourism is one of the most powerful levers for conservation and community on the planet. Nature in the City takes that conviction somewhere it rarely reaches — into a city, on a rooftop, in front of people who care but may never have been given the language or the tools to act. That’s exactly the kind of conversation we need more of.” - Rosie Stubbs, The Long Run
