Mashatu launches Family Safari Offers
Mashatu is the ideal safari destination for families, with a special family hour at the hide (Hides are only open 1 March until 30 Nov and close for the rainy season)
Bush walks with our expert guides teach children about spoor tracking, insects and plants as well as the wildlife, inspiring future conservationists!
There are holidays, and then there are places and spaces that shape memories that live on for a lifetime. This year, swap screen time for safari time. Mashatu Game Reserve, one of Botswana’s best-kept secrets, is inviting families to escape into the wild with a limited-time green season offer.
From 1 October 2025 to 31 January 2026, families can take advantage of exclusive safari savings — ideal for half-term breaks, festive getaways, or that long-awaited multi-generational holiday.
Located in Botswana’s remote eastern corner, bordering Zimbabwe and South Africa, Mashatu is home to impressive sandstone formations, wide open plains and grasslands, ancient towering baobabs, and wildlife as far as the eye can see. The green season brings the reserve to life — teeming with baby animals, vibrant and lush vegetation, migratory birds and dramatic skies – providing endless photo-worthy opportunities. A season of life, colour, and wonder — the ideal time to travel as a family.
