Johannesburg, 12 February 2026: Kaelo Destinations, the travel and hospitality brand under the ownership of Stephen Lansdown CBE and Maggie Lansdown, marked its formal industry introduction with an exclusive launch event held at QLounge by Quoin Rock in Johannesburg – bringing together key trade partners and media from across the travel and hospitality industry.

Kaelo Destinations is a newly curated portfolio of exceptional places and experiences defined by purpose, place and people. Launching with two flagship destinations, namely Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana and Pambele Beach House in Mozambique as well as a growing aircraft fleet and aviation capabilities, there are also exciting plans in the pipeline to expand the collection globally over time.

During the event, partners were introduced to the brand’s vision, core values and positioning of the portfolio, as well as the newly launched website and its three curated collections—Luxury, Safari and Explorer Collections—designed to better segment and reflect the diversity of Kaelo Destinations’ offerings and to support trade partners and guests in positioning the brand with aligned markets and clients.

The presentation also highlighted key milestones achieved over the past six months, including Mashatu Game Reserve being awarded Best Game Reserve in Southern Africa at the World Luxury Travel Awards, the international release and award recognition of Mashatu: Land of Leopards on National Geographic, Pambele Beach House being named among Condé Nast Traveller’s Best Places to Go in 2026, and the introduction of the brand new and custom-designed King Air 360 aircraft to enhance premium access between destinations within the portfolio and locations throughout Southern Africa. Kaelo Destinations also shared plans to expand its collection, including the forthcoming addition of La Grande Mare, a nature reserve in Guernsey, UK - reflecting the brand’s consistent and long-term commitment to stewardship of conserved landscapes and ecosystems.

A core pillar of Kaelo Destinations is its commitment to conservation and community – supporting long-term conservation initiatives, community development, education and responsible tourism practices across its destinations – ensuring sustainability of these sacred places for generations to come.

The event was an important step in introducing Kaelo Destinations to industry partners and media, signalling the start of a journey and the continuation of a collection of extraordinary places and experiences rooted in purpose and meaningful impact.
